The soft flow created by the curves of the Half Clamshell template makes it a favorite of many a quilter. If you start by using the templates so that four shapes make up a 12" block, the Half Clamshell becomes a fairly easy project suitable for confident beginner to intermediate level quilters. Start playing with the shapes to create Apple Cores or Full Clamshells and this definitely becomes an advanced technique!
